Motherwell striker Louis Moult could be set for a move to Preston North End with former Hamilton Accies manager Alex Neil looking to beat Wigan and Birmingham City to the 25 year old. Neil is hoping to agree a pre-contact agreement next month with the player out of contract at the end of the season.

According to the Daily Record, Preston are prepared to offer Moult a deal worth more than ten times his current Fir Park wage of around £1000 a week.

Moult had been linked with a move to Rangers in the summer, but with the Ibrox side still searching for a manager it is unlikely that Rangers will look to sign the striker and that leaves the door open for Preston.
