Ipswich Town have signed Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn from Rangers on a two-year-deal for a fee reportedly around £250,000. The 27-year-old joined Rangers from Wigan in July 2015, scoring 44 goals in all competitions and helped Rangers to the Championship title in 2016.

Waghorn made just 20 appearances for Rangers last season and fell out of favour with new manager Pedro Caixinha after he took over from Mark Warburton in March.

The former Wigan striker will join up with former Rangers team mate Joe Garner at Portman Road.

The Englishman could make his debut for Ipswich against Luton Town in the Carabao Cup first round on Tuesday.
