In my former position as editor of Scotzine, I worked with many likeminded football fans, bloggers and writers who loved to talk about our game and the issues that arose each season – and the football podcast was one aspect of getting their views out to a wider audience.
While the Last Ditch Tackle is not looking at podcasting anytime soon, I have looked at the plethora of football shows out there and highlighted the ones you should be subscribing, downloading and listening to in 2018.
Celtic Quick News’ podcast ‘A Celtic State of Mind’ offers a tantalising instalment of topical Celtic discussion, debate and insight. Hosted by Paul John Dykes and Kevin Graham, they discuss some of the week’s developments at Celtic Park. The podcast mixes football and music chat which will strike a chord with Celtic fans, as will the big interviews with individuals who possess A Celtic State of Mind.
90 Minute Cynic is a weekly Football Podcast and website which takes a cynical look at the beautiful game. They debate European football with a distinct focus on Scottish football and aims to produce innovative multimedia coverage, striving to be as interactive as possible.
