Popular Liverpool Fan TV channel, The Redmen TV, has given its opinion on the protracted speculation over Steven Gerrard becoming the next Rangers manager.
In a candid vlog by the channel’s development squad pundit, Ben Kelly, the move to Rangers seems to have been dismissed as the ‘wrong time’ to make the move and one that Gerrard would be ‘daft’ to take on, given the state that Rangers are in and the pressure that comes with the role.
Kelly initially intimated that the job is far too soon for the Liverpool legend and that he should stay with the club’s under-18 side for another season before making the move up to first team management. Before claiming that the MK Dons job would have been perfect for Gerrard, rather than Rangers – a club he states are in an ‘absolute mess’.
He declared: “Rangers are a mess at the moment, an absolute mess, they lost 5-0 in the Old Firm derby yesterday and the team is rubbish….it is a poisoned chalice of a job.
“Rangers are supposed to be the second team in Scottish football, but they aren’t as they are really really shite.”
Take a look at Kelly’s comments on The RedmenTV channel:
Do you think Kelly is correct? Is Gerrard daft to take on the role, could he surprise everyone and turn things around at Ibrox or are Rangers just that shite that no one not even Pep Guardiola could turn around their fortunes? Let us know your thoughts.
