Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic is a summer transfer target for Southampton as contract talks with the Parkhead side linger on.
The Aussie international has one year left to run on his contract with the Scottish champions and manager Brendan Rodgers has spoken of his desire to keep the 25 year old at the club.
Southampton have reportedly been keeping tabs on Rogic for several months and they had sent a scout to watch him during Sunday’s 5-0 win over Rangers.
Rogic signed for Celtic in January 2013 from Central Coast Mariners, before returning to Australia a year later for a six month loan deal to Melbourne Victory.
If Rogic does make the move to St.Mary’s then it would be the fourth time in as many years that the English Premier League side has raided Celtic for players – midfielder Victor Wanyama, goalkeeper Fraser Forster and defender Virgil van Dijk.
